Explain how early RNA molecules might have been able to respond to natural selection.?

RNA molecules may have been able to respond to natural selction because DNA of species that survived harsh conditions transcribed the correct RNA to survive. When the species reproduced it allowed the DNA to make the right RNA to survive. A different animal of the same species may have made a different RNA molec that may not have helped it to survive so through generations the better RNA molecs that were made grew in number. I am not a scientist or anything but have taken many bio cles. I hope this helps and is understandable.
