Hair styles!!! PLZ HELP ME!!?

i am 12 years old i have thin, dirty blound hair abut and inch past my shoulders i want to get it cut but idk how to get it i am afraid to get bangs because i am afraid they will look retarted on me! i am leaning toward layers but idrk! i need some help because i have an hair apointment soon and i need to no wut to tell the lady!! please help! and if ucud add some pics 2! also not only some haircuts but also some styles that i can wear it to school!!!
