Can I receive money on paypal?

Thing is, I'm living in Sri Lanka, and I've been using my Paypal account to buy stuff from Ebay, but, Paypal doesn't allow accounts based in Sri Lanka to receive money. However, my cousin, who lives with me, says that he received money to his account by putting the country as India. Is it possible to do that? I really don't trust him that much! :)
