If a band split..? (example fob,gc,mcr,tu,p!atd,tbs)?

if a band split, (lets say Panic at the disco, fall out boy, good charlotte, my chemical romance, the used, taking back sunday...) and the musicians go one way but keeping the band and the singer another one, would you listen the musicians or the singer?
