Which do you prefer, Beethoven's symphony No.9 or Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture?

The 1812 may be a stirring piece of music, but the 9th Symphony is simply profound. Beethoven's music in general has a richness, solidity and depth of feeling that I just can't find in Tchaikovsky.
