Is it just me or is there little to no representation of other races on the soaps?

There always seems to be a 'token' African American on these shows. You know, a cop, a doctor, somebody's long lost son (in B&B) etc. But they never seem to play any major parts and never stick around. (the exception being Abe Carver in DOOL and Neil and his family on Y&R) I've only ever watched DOOL, Y&R and B&B and I've never seen any Asian, Latino or other races on them. It's a shame really. It would make it a bit more realistic I think.
