Is David Farland like Raymond Feist? Or who is?

Someone said that but his website looks like it is kid books. Lord Dispair, mice books, etc. I am looking for a new Fantasy Series. I have read LOTR, Narnia, Brooks, Eddings, Goodkind, Hobb, Eddings, Anthony, and Feist is my new favorite! I don't like McCaffrey, Georee RR Martin, Donaldson. I think Mckeirnan is pretty mediocre. I have the Gunslinger and have read the first 30 pages or so and I am trying to get into is but it is pretty boring so far. Any other suggestions? Thanks
