If you don't want the government creating jobs, and corporations aren't creating very many, then what?

I get that government is the most horrible thing in all of the world, and people who work for the government might as well have just crucified Jesus themselves. However, if government is having trouble creating jobs [government jobs have decreased steadily since the 'crash'] and corporations are feebly and/or unwilling to do so, what do you do then?
