When did the WWE change its name from WWWF to WWF?

Ok now I know the Wildlife fund won the law suite against the WWE formally WWF because they trademarked the WWF initials in 1962 but i would like to know when did the WWE change its name from WWWF under the NWA banner to WWF. Thanks.
